Sharran is the founder and driving force behind C & S Photography Hide. With the support of Charlie and Mark she provides welcoming experiences for guests. She is a passionate wildlife photographer with a particular interest in animal behaviour, ethical photography and the natural environment. Her aim is to bring people closer to wildlife while encouraging mindfulness, responsible observation and greater appreciation of biodiversity.

Charlie recently won First Prize in the Under-18s category of the Vickers Clickers competition with his photograph of a tawny owl.
Charlie’s photography is inspired by atmosphere, behaviour and the individual stories behind each wildlife encounter.

Mark completes the family team. He looks after the practical side of the project, including maintaining the hide, photography areas and surrounding habitat, helping everything operate safely and smoothly.
Set in a peaceful rural location near Eakring, our private photography hide is surrounded by trees, natural cover and open countryside. Created for one or two guests, it offers a quiet and comfortable place to observe and photograph wild animals with minimal disturbance.
We are passionate wildlife photographers with a deep interest in nature, ethical photography and the protection of local habitats. As the site develops, we aim to preserve its rural character, encourage native wildlife and support a healthy diversity of species.
Time in the hide is about more than capturing a photograph. It is an opportunity to slow down, focus on the present and enjoy the stillness of the natural world. We welcome experienced photographers, beginners and anyone looking for a peaceful wildlife experience.

This image captures a Dalmatian pelican in a split‑second display of precision and power, photographed as it launches skyward to snatch a fish mid‑air. Shot from a low angle, the frame amplifies the bird’s vast wingspan and the athletic grace of its hunt.

We will meet you opposite The Daffodil Tea Room, Kneesall, NG22 0BL. From there, you will follow us in your own vehicle for approximately five minutes to the designated parking area.
The hide is reached by an approximately 150-metre walk across rural ground. The path may be uneven, wet or muddy, so sturdy, waterproof footwear is recommended. Please take particular care when carrying photographic equipment. A small trolley can be provided on request to transfer your equipment if required.
The hide accommodates a maximum of two visitors and includes:
Standard daytime or night-time session: £90 per person
Exclusive use of a standard daytime or night-time session: £160
24-hour session: £160 per person
Sessions are normally offered as either a daytime session or a night-time session.
Start and finish times vary throughout the year to reflect seasonal daylight hours, weather conditions and expected wildlife activity.
The scheduled hours for your chosen session will be confirmed when booking.
Should you choose to leave before the end of your planned session, the pricing remains unchanged.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking.
If you provide at least 48 hours’ notice, your session may be rescheduled to an alternative available date and your deposit will be transferred to the new booking.
If less than 48 hours notice is given, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to make another booking.
Session times vary throughout the year according to daylight hours, seasonal conditions and wildlife activity.
Bookings may need to be postponed in the event of high winds, severe weather or unsuitable conditions at the hide. Wildlife activity is often reduced during poor weather, and visitor safety must remain our priority. If we cancel your session, we will offer an alternative date.
All visitors must read and sign a visitor disclaimer before entering the site or using the hide.
Visits involve rural terrain, natural hazards and the use of personal photographic equipment. All visits and activities are undertaken at the visitor’s own risk. Visitors are responsible for assessing their own fitness, mobility and ability to participate safely, and for following all instructions provided
by C & S Photography Hide.
A 70–200mm lens is suitable for much of the wildlife activity around the hide. A lens of up to approximately 500mm may be helpful for wildlife seen farther away. Depending on the length of your booked session, bring a packed lunch, sturdy footwear and warm clothing. It can get cold inside the hide, the terrain can become boggy and uneven, especially in winter.
Whether you are an experienced photographer, a beginner or simply looking for peaceful time in nature, we would be delighted to welcome you to C & S Photography Hide.
